When you make a range, you can then calculate the percentage form of the range. Percentage forms are typically used to describe the frequency with which each type of starting hand is selected. For instance, a 30% range will be used when the blinds or late position are the current positions. Likewise, a 20% range is used when the player is closer to CO or HJ.

Having a good range will enable you to know whether or not you should call, raise, or fold before the flop. But it’s important to remember that each hand has its own unique factors to consider.
